Friends of Wedmore First School are proud to to announce that we raised over £9000 at the Wedmore Summer Ball 2008.

 

Although the evening started off a bit wet and windy, the party got underway with a few drinks followed by a fabulous 3 course meal.

 

Down to the main part of the night - The Auction!  The lots went swiftly under the hammer with a couple raising over £1000 a piece, which is a great result.  The balloon raffle was fun too with lots of champagne to win.

 

There was also a chance of winning a prize for the one who guessed the total amount that the auction brought in.

 

The evening ended with vast amounts of dancing to 'kick the cat' - a great local band, then a disco until 2am.

I am sure everyone extends a great big thank you to Jane Higginbottom and her big team in organising and helping out at the event - it was a night to remember for a very long time!
